Van Buren Township teacher charged with sexting

Romulus— A Van Buren Township teacher was arraigned Tuesday on charges she sent a 15-year-old boy a sexually explicit photo of herself and gave him alcohol.

Andrea Deanna Brennan, 37, of Ypsilanti stood mute in 34th District Court in Romulus and a not guilty plea was entered on her behalf.

Brennan was charged with distributing sexually explicit material to a minor, a two-year felony; use of a computer to commit a crime, a four-year felony, and furnishing alcohol to a minor, a 60-day misdemeanor.

Police said they found Brennan and the boy drinking alcohol at 1:30 a.m. July 10 in a parked car at a softball field near Beck Road and Ayres Avenue in Van Buren Township.
