Wayne Co. panel approves $100K boost for law firm
Detroit — Wayne County taxpayers may spend another $100,000 defending Executive Robert Ficano and other county officials in a lawsuit from his former top deputy, Azzam Elder.
The deal annoyed county commissioners, but a committee on Tuesday approved a retroactive, one-year modification to a contract with Detroit-based law firm Dickinson Wright. The modification pushes the worth of the contract to $145,000.
