Man charged with fondling, trying to abduct girl, 14, in Royal Oak

Royal Oak — A 24-year-old Bloomfield Hills man has been charged with fondling and trying to abduct a 14-year-old girl over the weekend.

Derek Joseph Wallin, is charged with attempted kidnapping, a five-year felony, and fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, which carries up to two years in prison, in Saturday's incident. Wallin, was arraigned Monday before 44th District Court Judge Terrence Brennan, who set bond at $100,000.
