Feds target Kilpatrick payouts

His nonprofit paid for everything from manicures to yoga classes, they say

Detroit — Kwame Kilpatrick's nonprofit group paid for manicures, pedicures, deep tissue massages at resorts in Colorado and California — even $125 for a "gentleman's facial," according to testimony offered Wednesday during the former Detroit mayor's public corruption trial.

The Civic Fund, set up to promote social welfare and voter education, also picked up the tab for Kilpatrick's twice-weekly yoga sessions with his bodyguards, underwrote a portion of relatives' tuition bills and covered a $69,000 bill from a political consultant, witnesses said.
