Detroit dad killed missing toddler, prosecutor tells jury

Detroit — Missing Bianca Jones is dead and her father, D'Andre Lane, killed her, prosecutors told a jury Wednesday.

The father of seven is charged with felony murder on claims he fatally beat the toddler with a hard stick over a bed-wetting incident on Dec. 2, disposed of her body at an incinerator and fabricated a tale of an armed carjacking to cover up the crime.

"Bianca Jones is dead. She died at 2 years old and he killed her," Assistant Prosecutor Carin Goldfarb told a Wayne County Circuit Court jury during closing arguments Wednesday.
