Dismembered bodies found in Detroit River were shot to death

Detroit— The man and woman whose dismembered bodies were found floating in the Detroit River on Tuesday died from gunshot wounds, according to an autopsy by the Wayne County Medical Examiner's Office.

"The male had multiple gunshot wounds, and the female had a fatal gunshot wound to the head," said county spokeswoman Brooke Blackwell. "Both were caucasian, either in their 30s or 40s, although they haven't yet been identified."
