Detroit— The ringleader of one of the largest mortgage fraud rings to ravage the country pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court and faces a lengthy prison term.
Ronnie Duke, 45, of Fenton admitted his role in a four-year scheme that federal agents say generated as much as $100 million in losses as he and his co-defendants turned fake loans into high-end travel, upscale homes, expensive boats and even a helicopter.
