Ex-roommate: Allen Park slayings suspect said 'he'd cut her up'

Allen Park — For years, Roger Bowling contemplated killing his former girlfriend, cutting up her body and dumping it in the Detroit River, an old roommate claimed Monday.

Robert Slick, 35, who said he has known Bowling since he was a first-grader, said the two had at least 10 conversations while they lived together around 2004 — while drinking beer and smoking marijuana — about how they would "get rid of" the women in their lives.

Slick, who was bitter over a divorce at the time, said Bowling detailed how he would handle his ex-girlfriend, Danielle Greenway.

"He said that he'd cut her up, put her body in a cooler with chains and ratchet straps around it and dump her body in the river," Slick testified during the second day of Bowling's preliminary examination in 24th District Court in Allen Park. The hearing resumes Aug. 29.
