Troy man shot neighbor who yelled at his dogs, police say

Troy — A 73-year-old Troy man was charged Monday with the attempted murder of a next-door neighbor who yelled at his dogs to stop barking.

David George Keats was arrested Friday night by police at his home on Atlas Street. Keats, who was identified by witnesses as the shooter in the incident, was sitting on his front porch and arrested without incident, police said. His unloaded gun was found behind him, police said.
