5 Wayne County Sheriff's deputies accused of assaulting inmates

Detroit— Five Wayne County Sheriff's deputies were charged Tuesday with assaulting inmates at the county jail.

The alleged assaults happened in the Division 1 facility on Clinton on Oct. 10, 2009, Jan. 25, 2010, and Feb. 6, 2010, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.

The victims were treated at Detroit Receiving Hospital for their injuries.
