Sterling Heights— The probable cause hearing Friday for a man accused of mutilating and transporting four corpses in December was delayed Friday until August 13 to enable his attorney to prepare his defense.

James Cornelius Brown, 34, of Detroit, has been charged with four counts of disinterment and mutilation of a dead body. Each charge is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. He has also been charged with two counts of arson.

He has not been charged with murder.
