Judge agrees to testing grenade in Aiyana Jones case

Detroit— The judge and attorneys in the manslaughter case of a Detroit tactical officer charged in the shooting death of 7-year-old Aiyana Jones during a police raid will experience the effects of a concussive grenade firsthand.

Wayne County assistant prosecutor Robert Moran during a hearing Friday requested that jurors experience being in a room when a flash-bang grenade is detonated. The weapon is designed to disorient through a burst of light coupled with a loud blast.
