Pontiac — Oakland Circuit Judge Colleen O'Brien on Wednesday denied a request for separate trials for Royal Oak murder suspects Alan Craig Wood and Tonia Watson but ruled that each would get their own jury.

Wood and Watson are charged in the Nov. 12 beating and stabbing death of 80-year-old Nancy Dailey.

Dailey was found in her home, tied up and her throat slit just eight days after hiring the homeless couple, both parole absconders, to do yard work. Both are drug abusers with criminal records.
